Heated Mattress Pads Zoned from Top to Bottom – More Heat at the Feet

There are no heated electric blankets in the USA that are zoned from top to bottom. However there is one electric mattress pad available that has three separately controled heat zones from head to foot.

There is one high-end model of the Sunbeam line of pads that goes under the brand name “Therapeutic” at some stores or "Therapedic" at the Bed, Bath and Beyond stores. It has three different zones from head to foot and the heat of each is separately controllable. Dual control models have six zones, three on each side but before you purchase a Queen or King, know that there is only one control that operates both sides. The control is completely wireless. The zoned Sunbeam pads carry a three year warranty (five years is most common for electric mattress pads).

[In answer to questions: The WestPoint brand of pads is no longer available. They had more heat at the bottom (feet area). The heat was not a controllable zone, i.e. the heat at the foot was always directly proportional to the heat at the head end. Read our RestWarmer/SleepWarmer Heated Electric Mattress Pad review.]
